Into the Deep

Season 2 Episode 8

This episode was highly anticipated after episode 7 showed Henry and Aurora seem to make contact during their dreams. It would be incredible if that how they can contact each other to try to reconnect in either world.

Fairytale Land

Hook met with Cora and she wanted
the compass. He told her that he
didn’t have it and told her he would
get it. Cora told him he betrayed her
and he asked if she was going to kill
him. She decided to leave him stuck
where she magically put him. Cora
said she would do it on her own and
went to get a heart and rose the
dead as her servants of death.

Aurora, Snow, Mulan and Emma discussed if the dream was real or not and Snow was confident they would be fine. They realized that they could talk to Henry through the dreams. I love it when I am right.

Storybrooke

In the dream, Aurora and Henry discussed what to do. Henry woke up with charming and Regina there and told them they were OK and said that they have to help defeat Cora. Henry said Gold would know how to defeat her.

Fairytale Land

Snow set up a plan to get help from
Rumple while Mulan noticed Aurora
had a problem with her arm. Aurora
showed her the burns and Mulan told
her not to go back into the dream
because of the burns. She went on to say she vowed to Phillip she would protect Aurora. She said it was her to turn to help someone and would go back into the dream.

Storybrooke

Gold went with Regina back to Charming and Henry. Henry then told them he could handle the dream. Gold told him a bedtime story which was the message to Snow and Emma. He went on about squid ink in his jail cell they needed to retrieve.

Fairytale Land

Henry tried to tell Aurora where to go but Aurora was swept out as Mulan woke her. Just then, they were raided by a group of woodsmen. As they fought them off, Mulan and Aurora ran off for safety and they took Aurora as Mulan couldn’t fight them off in time.

Storybrooke

When Henry woke, he told them something was wrong and he couldn’t tell Aurora. He also had bad burns on his arm as Regina and Charming were horrified.

Fairytale Land

Cora brought Aurora stew
to eat and talked. Cora told
her she would trade for the
compass. Cora then
offered her a deal to bring
back Phillip. She told Cora
she would never help her.
Cora hit her knocking her unconscious and sent a crow to pass on the trade offer. Mulan was going to take the compass to her, but Snow asked for some time. She then wanted Mulan to use her sleeping powder on her to go under for a plan to defeat Cora. They of course needed to find a poppy plant… ummmm sounds like they could make a different kind of drug…lol. They had to go find one and of course Mulan knew just where to look and off they went.

Storybrooke

Gold healed Henry’s burns and said he must rest before going back in. Charming and Regina said they were not going to send him, but Gold said they had to in order to help Snow and Emma. Regina said they shouldn’t because no one would be there for the message, but Charming said Snow will be there. Charming said he would go, but Gold said he hasn’t been under a sleeping spell before. Charming told him to put him in one as he said it was time to bring her home.

Fairytale Land

Aurora was awaken by Hook who unbound her and said that Cora doesn’t know he was there. He told her that Cora was not allowing him to go get his revenge, so he would try to stop Cora. He set her free and told her that his deal still stands with Emma and Snow.

Snow told her what it is like to be under a sleep spell. Not liking the fact they are portraying Emma so soft and scared in this episode. She has always been the rock of the show, now all of a sudden Snow has to give her therapy every 10 minutes.

Storybrooke

Regina talked to Henry as she was preparing the sleeping spell mixture. She also said she is trying her best to prove to Henry she would not harm anyone. Henry said he can go in and back while Charming may not come back. Regina said that her and Charming had many differences, but neither was willing to risk Henry’s life. Gold explained to Charming what to do and Regina put the mixture on the large needle and Henry gave him the medallion that would protect him from the flames.

Fairytale Land

Snow took the sleeping powder from Mulan and went under.

Storybrooke

Gold said he had to find a way into the room despite not knowing how to get in it. He then pricked his finger and went under the sleeping spell.

Dreamland

Charming found a torch and walked
toward mirrors. He called out for
Snow with no answer of course.
Snow was in the room and called
out for Henry. James still searched
for a way in. Break a mirror!! He took
off the pendant and it lit up. He
dropped it on the floor which was hot
and then used the torch to break the floor and fell into the room with fire. Snow saw him and she expected Henry. He said he wouldn’t let him come back. He told her of the ink and where it was. She knew he was under a sleep spell and they tried to kiss to break his spell but they couldn’t. After he re-assured her they will find each other again and she will break the curse they told one another they loved each other. She then woke and disappeared from the room.

Storybrooke

Henry waited for Charming to wake and Regina said it would be fine, but Gold nodded his head to her that he wouldn’t wake.

Fairytale Land

Snow woke in a panic about
Charming and Emma settled
her down and asked if she got
the information. They then were
ready to go when Emma noticed
she didn’t have the compass
and Mulan was gone. Mulan
was off to save Aurora. Hook
was then bound by Cora after he
let Aurora free. Amazingly, Snow
and Emma caught up to a
sprinting Mulan and demanded the compass. Aurora came and told them about Hook helping her and that he was genuine, which she was manipulated by Cora and was a plan of Hooks.

What a spectacular episode and we know there is a big faceoff coming with Cora. The question will be whether or not Hook will choose Cora or Emma when the battle comes. I have to lean toward Emma, but it really is not clear. We also have to wonder how long Charming will be out and not a factor in the episodes to come. I would think they wouldn’t keep him out of it too long, but we shall see. What are your thoughts of Hook and Charming?
