Fans had a very loud uproar when they found out that Revolution was going on an extra long break. The break was similar to "The Event" and "Flashforward." The four month break spelled doom for those two shows as reporters pointed that out to NBC chairman Robert Greenblatt during a press tour that the break is terrible. Greenblatt replied, "Is it uniformly terrible, or uniformly terrible for terrible shows?" Greenblatt went on to explain that he wanted to air the show in two big blocks without repeats rather than having two episodes then skip a week or two then show another new episode. He also pointed out he wanted it to follow "The Voice" both times giving them a solid lineup the entire night.
Revolution was a good show for NBC and gives them something to rave about that has been lacking in many years. I am sure it will come back and be successful as I know it is one of the shows I look forward to each week. Its' time slot opponent "Castle" is another show I look forward to as well. Revolution has a great plot and has a good mix for both teen and adult viewers. I can see this show going at least 5 seasons and possibly many more.
Next Caller Cancelled

We know this is the time of the year when freshman shows try to prove they can last. Some will have bad reviews and some will have bad ratings. Some of them will have both of course. It was no surprise to hear that NBC has cancelled one of its new shows. The surprise was, that it was one that hasn't even aired yet.
Gone is Dane Cooks new comedy "Next Caller." It was due to air at midseason, but the episodes will not make it to the small screen. Six episodes were ordered originally, with four of them completed. The network execs weren't happy with its creative direction and cancelled the project. They did however like the results of three shows and extended them to a full season. "The New Normal" and "Go On" were two of the shows that were extended and gives the network two comedies to build on. The other is the hit show "Revolution" which has taken on some big shows on Monday night and done very well, and in fact has out done "Hawaii Five-0."
