  Perkins Arrested At Nightclub
  by Ron Rego 8/14/11

Oklahoma Thunder center,
  Kendrick Perkins was charged with
  misdemeanor disorderly conduct
  and public intoxication Saturday
  morning following an altercation at
  a South Texas nightclub.
The police department in
  Beaumont, Texas, released a
statement that officers saw a large
crowd outside of The Ticket night
club just after 2 a.m. They also had
received complaints of fights and pepper spray inside the club. According to the police, an officer saw about 50 people around the NBA star who was trying to fight the club's manager. The crowd apparently pushed Perkins out of the club as he was yelling obscenities and trying to start other fights.
Perkins was arrested and taken to Jefferson County jail. He posted bond of $150 and faces fines for his charges. Ironically, Perkins was in the city hosting a camp that raises money for his foundation, which aims to help children learn life skills and drug awareness. Given that the NBA is in the midst of a lockout, the players actions will be easily noticed, especially arrests.
