Atmosphere: 2

It is better than a cafeteria, but it doesn't have soft lighting or a very appealing view. It is very clean however and a good place for a family to go, not a date.

Service: 4

The servicewas fantastic as the waitress came at exactly the moment you would like them to. They were kind and always smiling.

Food Presentation: 4

The food looked fantastic as my mom's salad was amazingly set. I just had the chowder and clam cakes, so not much to make pretty :)

Food Quality: 3

The food was spectacluar. I have raved about their chowder for many years and consider it the best I have had. This is a must for New England style clam chowder as I have had it all over the east coast and still have not had it as good as here. The perfect consistancy and plenty of clams. It even has my secret ingredient that makes it perfect.

Cost: 4

The quality of the food far exceeds the cost and is more than worth the trip. I have been to many restaurants that charge more and you get less and doesn't taste as good.

Overall: 3.4

The food is fantastic and it is my favorite place to eat. It is a nice place to bring family or friends and I suggest everyone to try it. If you are just starting to date someone, don't bring her there until it has been a while and you see each other every day. They also have take out too so keep that in mind.

Main Street Pizza

229 Main St.
Ashaway, RI

For starters, I had the clam chowder that had the perfect consistency, not to watery and not so thick it was no longer a chowder. It was a very good tasting chowder that could use a little dill weed in it. It certainly blows away most places especially my last stop in Galilee a month ago. Plenty of clam pieces and bits of potato. Very nice texture. The fried fish was nicely cooked with a somewhat soft crust. I was hoping to try the fried clams, but they only serve that on the weekend so had to settle for the fish. It was still pretty good.

The service was fast as at the time (2:45pm) I was there had something to do with it. Very pleasant wait staff as everything I needed was provided very quickly. They have a great selection of pizza with about 6-12 options for dinners. They also have appetizers and serve beer as well. There are about 10 styles of beer with a few on tap, all of which are the basics.

A nice place for lunch with good food.

It was a lovely feel in the restaurant. I didn't see any wear and tear and the lighting was cozy.

Service: 3

The service starteed out pretty good, but we seemed to be forgotten after a while. We were never asked if we wanted another drink and seemed to be long periods while waiting for food to arrive. He was very friendly and new the menu by heart.

Food Presentation: 4

The food looked very pleasing except for the broken little neck shells in the appetizer and the meal itself.

Food Quality: 3

The food tasted very good, but the fact that I almost broke my tooth on the little necks was not pleasing. It was clearly pieces of shell mixed in on both meals. My friend asked for the sauce not to be spicey and there was a heavy dose of pepper in it. The scallops were perfect as was the Shrimp i had. The pasta was excellent in a nice white sauce.

Cost: 3

The food was very good, but at $16- $20 a plate, I could find better. However, it is definately worth taking a look and watch those shells.

Overall: 3.4

The food is good and i think they have a great menu of italian dishes. Try it, an let us klnow what you think.
